Kookaburras - HockeyDemonstrating their dominance on the world stage, the Kookaburra’s claimed Gold against India. The current side, coached by Ric Charlesworth, has become the first men’s team to win the World Cup, the Champions Trophy and the Commonwealth Games title in the same year. Proving to be an unstoppable force, there is every belief that this side will go better in London than they did in Beijing, where they came home with the Bronze.

Hockeyroos - HockeyThe reigning Commonwealth Games champions once again fought hard to bring the Gold medal back to Australia in a nail biting extra time shoot out to our friendly foes New Zealand. Although the Hockeyroos enjoy continued success at the Commonwealth Games, they aren’t able to convert the same success at the Olympics, being stuck as 5th place finishers at both the Beijing 2008 and Athens 2004 games. Hopefully they can turn it around at the London 2012 Games and bring home the Gold.

Hockeyroos win historic goldThe Hockeyroos became Australia's most successful sporting team by winning three gold medals in four Olympics. They won the final in 2000 against Argentina 3-1.
